Power Ballard Surprisingly Surprised Me

Sat down to watch a movie the other night and scrolled past this little gem of a movie staring Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas.

To start off with, I assumed this was going to be one of those movies you turn off about 20 minutes into it, because I figured Nick Jonas' acting was going to sink the movie faster than the Titanic. I was wrong.

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!

The movie basically goes like this. Paul Rudd's character, Rick, plays the lead singer in a wedding band after settling down in Ireland with his wife and daughter. Nick Jonas (Danny) is a popular former pop-star down on his luck and can't write the perfect song.

One drunken night after a wedding, Rick and Danny find themselves in a music studio showing each other the song's they have written. One song in particular stuck out to Danny and in desperate times, comes desperate measures, and nobody was more desperate to release a good song more than Danny.

The rest of the movie speaks for itself, but its worth the watch.

It's a movie that combines comedy with moments of desperation.

Commissioners Discover Marijuana Is Morally Acceptable Once Budget Is in Shambles

LEWIS COUNTY, WA — After years of warning that marijuana sales in rural areas would destroy the county’s values, Lewis County commissioners have reportedly discovered that those values become much less fragile when there is a budget deficit to fill.

Officials who once treated rural marijuana shops like an approaching plague are now said to be open to the idea after realizing tax revenue spends exactly the same no matter where it comes from. “We still have concerns,” one commissioner reportedly said, “but fortunately those concerns are no longer as expensive as they used to be.”

Residents say the reversal has been inspiring, showing that deeply held principles can still survive in government right up until they are needed to cover poor financial planning. What was once denounced as harmful to the community is now being rebranded as a brave and creative funding solution.

At press time, county leaders were expected to unveil a new fiscal policy: If you can’t manage the budget, sell whatever morals are left.

SHOCKING! Local investigators find out who wrote "Anonymous" letter to CJTC, Devastating!

Lewis County, WA — Earlier this week, an anonymous letter was sent to the CJTC claiming that sheriff candidate Tracy Murphy—and other law enforcement officers—were part of a secret cocaine-smuggling operation. Problem is, no one is buying it!

A source from the CJTC explained that the paper the letter was written on smelled like perfume and male genitalia, which can only mean the letter was written by an angry transsexual Democrat.

Furthermore, after a deeper dive into the origins of the letter, investigators and sleuths from all over the county soon discovered the name of this angry—and most likely overweight and hideous—tranny. It was under their nose the whole time.

“Anonymous! Its name is Anonymous!” said local investigator Clyde CoolWhipple. “I mean, it’s a perfect non-binary, non-gender-affirming name. It just makes sense!”

As of publishing, we have been unable to reach a representative from the Lewis County Democrats for comment, but one thing we do know is this: Anonymous is a Democrat.
